Maintenance and Replacement Plan
A well maintained instrument encourages beginners to practice more and allows experienced players to achieve the freedom and artistry they desire!
With the purchase of a musical instrument you have made a valuable investment you will want to protect. Our Comprehensive Maintenance Agreement offers you the opportunity to maintain your instrument in the most cost effective way possible. Over the years Ward-Brodt technicians have identified the maintenance and repairs most often required and with our plan all of these standard procedures are completely covered under one annual fee.
Instruments must be examined and approved by our technicians prior to coverage. New or used instruments purchased from Ward-Brodt are automatically eligible within seven days of purchase. Please note that Ward-Brodt reserves the right to refuse coverage on any instrument.

| Chem Flush Cleaning | Your instrument will be cleaned and flushed by hand to ensure a thorough cleaning. This process includes disassembly of your instrument, thorough cleaning of the inside and outside, installation of new corks, felts, strings, and springs as needed, plus the cleaning of slides and valves. Minor dent work is also included. A final inspection, play test and wipe down will ensure play-ability of your french horn. | $100.00 | ||
| Valve Repairs | Includes removal of dents in the valve casing and rotor, the straightening of any bent linkage, lapping of the rotor and/or casing, and a thorough cleaning of the casing and valve to ensure smooth valve motion. A final inspection, play test and wipe down will ensure playability of your french horn. | $75.00 ea. for Rotors | ||
| Freeing Slides | The slides are essential for daily maintenance as well as tuning of the instrument. For stuck or frozen slides when a chem flush is not needed or recommended. This includes removing all slides from the instrument, degreasing, a thorough cleaning, and lubrication of all slides. A final inspection, play test and wipe down will ensure play-ability of your french horn. | $25 - $55 | ||
