Product Features Padauk is a reddish-orange wood with dark streaks preferred for crafting percussion instruments. It is known to produce an outstanding tone with long decay and plenty of bite. Sometimes known as "Diet Rosewood" because of their similar sound profiles, Padauk is more widely available than Rosewood and therefore less expensive.
